NCC CONDUCTED WORKSHOP ON CAREER COUNSELING AND LEADERSHIP AT EJM COLLEGE, LEH.
1 Ladakh Bn NCC conducted a workshop on career in Armed force and leadership development in coordination with Tamilnadu based NGO Vizhi Awakening and EJM college Leh. Speakers included Commander Kamohan from Indian Navy, Ms Jenni & Ms Haripriya from NGO Vizhi Awakening. Motivational Interaction Programme aimed at inspiring youth towards careers in the Armed Forces.
The programme was graced by Commander Elantamizh Komahan of the Indian Navy as the Chief Guest along with Administrative Officer 1 Ladakh Battalion NCC Leh, Dr Stanzin Yangdol -Principal Govt EJM college and worthy faculty members.
The session featured inspiring talks by representatives of Vizhi Awakening Trust, an organization dedicated to developing leadership and guiding youth towards defence services.
Awakener Jenny Francina A and Awakener S. Harippriya, both accomplished NCC cadets and youth mentors, addressed the gathering. They shared their personal journeys, experiences in NCC and insights into leadership, discipline and preparation for competitive defence examinations such as NDA, CDS, and AFCAT. Their interaction motivated students to build confidence, develop life skills, and pursue a career in the Armed Forces.
Commander Elantamizh Komahan, in his address, highlighted the vast opportunities available in the Indian Navy and encouraged students to serve the nation with dedication and pride.
The programme emphasised on the importance of discipline, leadership, and nation-building among youth.
Adm Officer, NCC Bn mentored cadets on nuances of SSB interview and preparation for UPSC exams.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks followed by the National Anthem and a group photograph.
Principal Prof Stanzin Yangdol & ANO Lt Dr Ujwala Anandrao Koche of EJM college appreciated the initiative and expressed gratitude to the speakers and NCC Bn for conducting such an inspiring session.
Workshop provided threadware input on types of entries into Armed Force, how to prepare for exams and seamless mentoring.
13 students from Tamilnadu alongwith 52 students from EJM college and Ringjup School Leh participated in the workshop. Event became a melting pot of culture between Northern most & southern parts of India promoting NCC moto of ‘Unity and Discipline’. Event became success with active contribution from EJM college & Indian Army Artillery unit
