Secretary PWD inspects preparations at MIMC ahead of major Yoga celebration.
Leh, May 12, 2026: The Administrative Secretary, Public Works Department (PWD), Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary, today visited the Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre for a site inspection in connection with the upcoming large-scale Yoga celebration scheduled to be held at the venue.
During the visit, the Administrative Secretary inspected the main venue and reviewed the various logistical arrangements being put in place for the anticipated gathering. He took stock of the various related preparations for the smooth conduct of the event.
The Secretary emphasised the importance of ensuring proper facilities and seamless coordination among the concerned departments to accommodate the expected influx of participants and visitors during the Yoga celebration.
Officials present during the inspection briefed the Secretary on the ongoing preparations and the measures being undertaken to facilitate the successful organisation of the event. The visit also included discussions on crowd management, parking arrangements, and other essential support services required for the programme.
The Secretary was accompanied by the Founder/Director, MIMC, Ven Bhikkhu Sanghasena, Chief Engineer, PWD, Abdul Mutalib, Superintending Engineer, and other concerned officials.
The upcoming Yoga celebration at MIMC is expected to witness enthusiastic participation from residents, visitors, and yoga practitioners from across the region.
