    Three-Day Training Programme for Census 2027 Begins in Zanskar.
    Zanskar, May 13, 2026: A three-day training programme for supervisors and enumerators for Census 2027 commenced today in Zanskar, aiming to strengthen field-level preparedness and ensure smooth execution of upcoming census activities.
    The training is focused on enhancing participants’ understanding of data collection procedures and equipping them with the necessary skills for effective implementation ahead of Phase 1 of Census 2027.
    The inaugural session was attended by Deputy Commissioner Zanskar, Omkar Ragendra Gundage (IAS), Superintendent of Police Zanskar, Rigzin Sangdup (JKPS), and Charge Officer Census 2027, Mohd. Hassan, Tehsildar Zanskar.
    The sessions are being conducted by Master Trainer Mohd. Iqbal, along with Field Trainers Ghulam Abass and Sonam Rigzin, under the supervision of Charge Officer Mohd. Hassan.
    Addressing the participants, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the vital role of supervisors and enumerators in ensuring accurate and reliable data collection. He stressed that quality training is key to the successful conduct of Census 2027.
    Highlighting the importance of data accuracy, the DC directed the trainers to provide comprehensive and effective training to all participants.
    On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner also handed over appointment orders to newly appointed census enumerators through Charge Officer/ Tehsildar, Mohd. Hassan.
