Drass, May 14, 2026: Under the aegis of District Administration Kargil and District Administration Drass, Tourism Department Kargil in collaboration with State Bank of India Rural Self Employment Training Institute( SBI RSETI), Kargil organised one day joint entrepreneurship and skill development awareness programme at Tourist Dak Bungalow Drass here today.
During the course of the comprehensive awareness programme hotel, guest house, homestay owners, guides and youth interested in the tourism sector were enlightened about the registration/renewal process of tourism units under the Tourist Unit Unified Registration 2026 and standards, responsibilities, opportunities and operational aspects of running homestay establishments.
The participants were also enlightened about the process of registration of tourism units on various online booking portals. Queries regarding registration/renewal process of tourism units and training programs were also addressed on the occasion.
Interested participants were also registered on spot for the free certified homestay and tourist guide training/skill enhancement programme being run by SBI RSETI Kargil and Tourism Department Kargil in near future.
