    TWO-DAY ONLINE HANDS-ON TRAINING WORKSHOP ON DIGITAL HOLISTIC PROGRESS CARD (DHPC) FOR PM SHRI SCHOOLS OF UT LADAKH.
    In continuation of the corrigendum issued by the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh, regarding the mandatory participation of concerned Headmasters and School Admins of PM SHRI Schools, a two-day online hands-on training workshop on the Digital Holistic Progress Card (DHPC) was successfully conducted on 1st and 2nd June 2026 for PM SHRI Schools of the Union Territory of Ladakh.
    The training programme was organized under the guidance and support of PARAKH, NCERT, New Delhi, with the objective of building the capacity of school functionaries for the effective implementation of the Digital Holistic Progress Card (DHPC), a key initiative aligned with the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
    The workshop was conducted under the visionary leadership, constant support, and valuable guidance of Prof. Indrani Bhaduri, CEO, PARAKH and Head, Educational Survey Division (ESD), NCERT, New Delhi, whose continuous efforts have been instrumental in facilitating the implementation of DHPC in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
    Day-1 Proceedings (1st June 2026)
    The workshop commenced with an introductory session by the PARAKH resource persons, Mr. Christopher Tongbram and Mr. Prashant Singh. The experts welcomed the participants and provided an overview of the objectives, significance, and implementation framework of the Digital Holistic Progress Card initiative. They highlighted the importance of holistic assessment and competency-based evaluation envisioned under NEP 2020.
    During the morning session, the experts explained the hierarchical functional framework of the DHPC platform. Participants were acquainted with the administrative structure of the portal comprising PARAKH Admin, Regional Admins, State Admin, District Admins, School Admins, Teachers, Students, and Parents. Detailed explanations were provided regarding the roles and responsibilities of each stakeholder involved in the implementation process.
    A practical hands-on session followed, wherein login credentials were first created for the State Admin. Subsequently, the State Admin generated login credentials for the District Admins of Leh and Kargil. Thereafter, the District Admins successfully generated credentials for all participating PM SHRI schools attending the online training programme. This practical exercise enabled participants to gain first-hand experience in navigating and managing the DHPC platform.
    The post-lunch session was devoted to an interactive query and clarification segment. School Admins raised several concerns regarding credential generation, user management, and onboarding procedures for teachers and students. The PARAKH experts addressed each query comprehensively and provided practical solutions to ensure smooth implementation.
    To reinforce the learning outcomes, School Admins were assigned practical homework to create and verify login credentials for teachers and students up to the Middle Stage before the commencement of the next day’s session.
    Day-2 Proceedings (2nd June 2026)
    The second day of the workshop commenced with a recapitulation of the previous day’s proceedings, followed by a query and doubt-clearance session. The resource persons responded to the issues encountered by participants during the onboarding process and provided additional guidance wherever required.
    The technical session began with a detailed demonstration of the Holistic Progress Card (HPC) filling process for the Preparatory Stage. The experts conducted live demonstrations and guided participants through the various components and indicators incorporated in the progress card. The session was highly interactive and provided participants with practical exposure to the assessment and reporting process.
    Subsequently, the experts conducted an extensive practical session on HPC filling for the Middle Stage. Detailed explanations were provided regarding the assessment framework, data entry procedures, and reporting mechanisms. Participants actively engaged in the live exercises and gained a comprehensive understanding of the platform’s functionalities.
    The resource persons also covered the implementation procedures and assessment processes for the Foundational, Preparatory, and Middle Stages in a comprehensive manner. Through demonstrations and practical exercises, participants developed a clear understanding of the holistic assessment framework and its implementation through the DHPC platform.
    School Admins continued the onboarding process by generating and verifying credentials for teachers and students in their respective schools. It was informed that the complete onboarding of data across participating schools would be completed by 3rd June 2026. Following the successful onboarding of teachers and students, particularly up to Grade II under the respective stages, the concerned teachers will initiate the Holistic Progress Card assessment process through the DHPC platform.
    The PARAKH experts emphasized the importance of timely completion of onboarding activities and regular implementation of assessment processes. They assured participants that the DHPC support team at PARAKH would continue to provide technical assistance, guidance, and handholding support whenever required during the implementation phase.
    The two-day training programme successfully achieved the following outcomes:
     Enhanced understanding of the Digital Holistic Progress Card framework among Headmasters and School Admins.
     Familiarization with the hierarchical administrative structure and operational workflow of the DHPC platform.
     Successful creation of login credentials at State, District, and School levels.
     Capacity building of School Admins regarding onboarding procedures for teachers and students.
     Practical training on HPC filling and assessment processes for Foundational, Preparatory, and Middle Stages.
     Resolution of operational and technical queries related to platform implementation.
     Preparation of schools for initiating the DHPC-based holistic assessment process.
    Conclusion:
    The two-day online hands-on training workshop concluded successfully with participants expressing confidence in implementing the Digital Holistic Progress Card in their respective schools. The programme significantly strengthened the capacity of Headmasters and School Admins to effectively utilize the DHPC platform for holistic and competency-based student assessment.
    The participants appreciated the continuous support, technical expertise, and guidance provided by the PARAKH team throughout the workshop. The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh, expressed its sincere gratitude to Prof. Indrani Bhaduri, CEO, PARAKH and Head, Educational Survey Division (ESD), NCERT, New Delhi, for her invaluable guidance, unwavering support, and commitment towards the successful implementation of DHPC in the Union Territory of Ladakh.

    The workshop concluded on a positive note with a collective commitment from all stakeholders to ensure the timely onboarding of data, effective implementation of the DHPC platform, and successful adoption of holistic assessment practices in schools across the Union Territory of Ladakh.
