    National SC-ST Hub, under the M/o MSME organized Entrepreneur Awareness & Special Vendor Development Programme in Leh on 5th June 2026.
    National SC-ST Hub under the M/o Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, organized Entrepreneur Awareness & Special Vendor Development Programme (EA&SVDP) with Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry on 5th June, 2026 at Central Institute of Buddhist Studies, Leh. The programme was aimed to create awareness of various initiatives of Ministry of MSME, Government of India including National SC-ST Hub (NSSH) Scheme. The programme aimed at enhancing awareness of the National SC ST Hub Scheme to existing and aspiring entrepreneurs to facilitate Central Ministries, Departments, and CPSEs for fulfilling the mandated 4% procurement from under the Public Procurement Policy.
    Both aspiring and existing entrepreneurs gained comprehensive awareness of the NSSH scheme, and the various schemes offered by the Ministry of MSME. aspiring entrepreneurs were specifically informed about the importance of registering on the Udyam Portal to formalize their enterprises, while existing entrepreneurs received detailed insights into vendor registration procedures, required documentation, items procured by CPSEs, detailed insights on e-tendering process, credit facilitation options and subsidy components available through banks to support business expansion and sustainability.
    More than 100 existing and aspiring SC-ST entrepreneurs from and around Leh (UT) participated in the event.
    The programme was graced by; Sh. Maqbool Shah– Sr. Trainer, GeM, Sh. Harendra kishore Chief Manager HPCL, Sh. Amit Tamaria Joint Director- MSME DFO Jammu, Sh. Amit Kumar Patel DGM Powergrid Corporation of India, Sh. Satinder Kumar Asstt. Manager FCI and Sh. Kuru lal Meena, Divisional Manager FCI, Ms. Kunzang Chief Manager SBI, Sh. Namgiyal Asstt. Manager Bank of India, Sh. N.A. bhatt (JKAS), Director Industries and Commerce, Sh. Safdar Social and Tribal Welfare Department, Sh. Mohan Lal (Guest faculty- Employabilty Skills)- ITI Leh.
    Sh. Surya Bhushan, Branch Incharge, National SC ST Hub, Ludhiana in his opening remarks briefed about the programme and described the Public Procurement Policy of Govt. of India which mandated 4% public procurement from SC/ST owned MSEs and 3% from Women MSEs.
    The programme facilitated direct interaction between existing and aspiring entrepreneurs and key stakeholders such as CPSEs, MSME, financial institutions, and other MSME-supporting agencies. Technical sessions featured inputs from representatives of MSMEs/Banks/CPSEs/GeM on financial support, vendor empanelment processes, and allied services, thereby strengthening collaboration within the MSME ecosystem.
