Chairman Haj Committee, UT Ladakh, Receives First Batch of 143 Returning Haj Pilgrims at Srinagar.
Srinagar, June 14, 2026: The Chairman, Haj Committee, UT of Ladakh, Shri Ghulam Abbas Abidi, along with Hon’ble Members of the Haj Committee, namely Shri Ghulam Mohammad, Shri Mohammad Hussain, Shri Bilal Ahmad, Sheikh Liaqat, Smt. Asha Mallo, and Smt. Zahra Banoo, today received and welcomed the first batch of 143 Haj pilgrims from Ladakh upon their arrival at Srinagar International Airport.
The members of the Haj Committee accorded a warm and traditional welcome to the returning pilgrims by presenting them with traditional Khataks and extending greetings of “Haj Mubarak”. The pilgrims were greeted with affection and prayers after successfully completing the sacred pilgrimage.
On the occasion, Chairman Shri Ghulam Abbas Abidi expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the safe return of the pilgrims and congratulated them on the successful completion of their spiritual journey. He also appreciated the cooperation and support extended by all agencies and stakeholders involved in facilitating the Haj pilgrimage.
The Haj Committee, UT of Ladakh, remains committed to ensuring the welfare and smooth reception of all Haj pilgrims and will continue to extend every possible assistance to the remaining batches arriving in the coming days.
