Director, Social & Tribal Welfare UT Ladakh Inspects Ongoing Projects in Kargil District.
Kargil, June 17, 2026: The Director, Social & Tribal Welfare, UT Ladakh, Dr. Zahida Banoo, JKAS, conducted an inspection of the ongoing infrastructure projects today, being executed by NHIDCL and CPWD in Ladakh.
During the visit, the Director reviewed the progress of the works and assessed the quality standards being maintained at various project sites. She emphasized the importance of ensuring high-quality construction, durability, and adherence to prescribed technical specifications so that the assets created serve the public effectively.
The Director instructed the executing agencies to maintain the highest standards of workmanship and quality control throughout the execution of the projects. She also stressed the need to expedite the pace of work and ensure timely completion of all ongoing projects without compromising on quality. Further the Director instructed the Executing Agency to submit the weekly progress report of the projects.
The concerned officials assured that all necessary measures would be taken to maintain quality standards and complete the projects within the stipulated timeframe.
The Director was accompanied by the District Social Walfare Officer Kargil, Accounts Officer, Chairman Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Kargil, SO (Planning ) Directorate of Social & Tribal Welfare, Ladakh.
