    LEH, JUNE 17, 2026: Administrative Secretary, Tourism Department, UT Ladakh, Shri Sanjit Rodrigues (IAS), today flagged off the Changthang Expedition 2026 from the iconic Shanti Stupa, Leh, in collaboration with Care My Tours, New Delhi, emphasizing the importance of eco-conscious and responsible travel in the region.
    The expedition, featuring premium motorbike brands including BMW, Ducati, KTM and Honda, marks the beginning of a high-altitude journey across the scenic and remote Changthang region of Ladakh. Care My Tours, New Delhi, is the official travel partner for the expedition.
    Led by Director, Care My Tours, Mr. Preet Sharma, the expedition has brought together a distinguished group of experienced riders. The participants are being supported by Toyota Hilux vehicles to ensure logistics, safety and operational efficiency throughout the challenging terrain.
    The expedition aims to promote adventure tourism while reinforcing the principles of sustainable and responsible travel. It also seeks to showcase Ladakh’s unique landscapes, rich cultural heritage and pristine environment to a wider audience.
    The expedition is further enriched by the participation of noted personalities from the fields of entertainment and photography. Among them is Bollywood actor Mr. Satyadeep Misra, known for his performances in No One Killed Jessica, P.O.W. – Bandi Yuddh Ke, Tandav and Mukhbir: The Story of a Spy. Their presence is expected to enhance the outreach of the expedition and encourage responsible tourism among visitors.
    Speaking on the occasion, Shri Sanjit Rodrigues lauded such initiatives for strengthening Ladakh’s position as a premier global destination for adventure tourism. He urged the participants to maintain the highest standards of safety and environmental responsibility, while respecting local communities and protecting ecologically sensitive and wildlife-rich areas.
    Highlighting the significance of mindful travel, he emphasized the need to preserve Ladakh’s fragile high-altitude ecosystems and promote tourism practices that contribute positively to the region.
    During the expedition, participants will document and share their experiences through various digital platforms in collaboration with Ladakh Tourism, offering audiences across the globe a glimpse into Ladakh’s breathtaking landscapes, vibrant culture and unique way of life.
    The Changthang Expedition 2026 aims to set new benchmarks in curated adventure tourism by seamlessly integrating exploration, storytelling and sustainability in one of the world’s most extraordinary destinations.
