PM-KISAN Event Organized at Office of Assistant Registrar Cooperative Societies, Kargil.
Kargil, June 20, 2026: A PM-KISAN programme was successfully organized at the Office of the Assistant Registrar Cooperative Societies, Kargil, with the participation of farmers and members of various cooperative societies and farmer organizations.
The event witnessed active participation from farmers associated with Sarithang Cooperative Society, Marketing Society Kargil, Ladakh Aquaculture FPO, and Gulbahar Milk and Dairy Cooperative Society in collaboration with the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) sales person to create awareness about government initiatives and welfare schemes aimed at improving the livelihoods of farmers.
During the event, participants were informed about the benefits of the PM-KISAN scheme and the importance of cooperative institutions in strengthening agricultural development, dairy farming, aquaculture, and rural entrepreneurship. Discussions were also held on enhancing farmer participation, improving market access, and promoting sustainable livelihood opportunities.
The gathering highlighted the significant role of cooperative societies and farmer producer organizations in empowering rural communities and ensuring inclusive economic growth in the region.
