    Nyoma, June 21: The Department of Agriculture, Nyoma Zone, organized a two-day training programme on Natural Farming from June 20–21, 2026, as part of its efforts to promote sustainable agricultural practices and strengthen farmer outreach.
    The programme began on June 20 at KVK Nyoma, where 55 farmers participated in an event marking the release of the 23rd installment of the PM-KISAN Scheme. Farmers were briefed on the benefits of the scheme and other government initiatives for the farming community.
    On June 21, a training session under the ATMA Scheme was conducted at Nidder Village. Ms. Nawang Palkit, In-charge Agriculture Extension Officer, Nyoma, informed farmers about the benefits of Natural Farming, including improved soil health, reduced input costs, and environmental sustainability. Practical demonstrations on the preparation of Jeevamrit and Beejamrit were also conducted.
    Farmers actively participated in both programmes and interacted with officials on various aspects of sustainable farming practices.
