Nyoma, 22 June 2026: An awareness camp on the ban of identified Single-Use Plastic (SUP) items was organized at Nyoma Main Market to educate shopkeepers and business owners about the recent Government order enforcing a strict prohibition on banned plastic products.
Officials briefed the participants on the harmful effects of single-use plastics, the list of prohibited items, and the penalties for their use, storage, sale, and distribution. Shopkeepers were encouraged to adopt eco-friendly alternatives and support efforts to keep Nyoma clean and plastic-free.
