    Department of Agriculture Nyoma zone conducted Khet Bachao Abhiyan at Liktsey village, 25-06-2026.
    Under this month long Khet Bachao Abhiyan programme 2026, Krishi Vigyan Kendra(KVK) Nyoma in collaboration with Agriculture Department Nyoma zone organized Khet Bachao Abhiyan at Liktsey village in continuation of its efforts to promote sustainable farming practices and ensure timely delivery of Govt. welfare schemes to the farming community.
    Ms. Nawang Palkit incharge Agriculture Extension officer Nyoma, delivered a comprehensive session for farmers covering key Govt. Schemes and their benefits for the farming community. She also conducted a practical demonstration on Natural farming under the National Mission on Natural farming (NMNF) and the ATMA scheme, highlighting the method, inputs, and advantages of adopting natural farming practices in high altitude cold arid conditions of the changthang district and also distributed Soil health Cards to 29 Farmers.
    Dr. Phuntsog Tundup Head, KVK Nyoma, delivered an informative session on Organic Farming practices for sustainable agriculture. He provided scientific rationale for the adoption of Organic farming and Natural farming methods, emphasizing their long- term benefits for soil health, crop quality and ecological balance.
    Dr.Tashi Dolkar Scientist KVK Nyoma, elaborates on the objectives of Khet Bachao Abhiyan, outlined the vision and significance of this programme to the farming community.
    Dr. Stanzin Diskit (Plant Pathologist) conducted a session on disease and pathagon control under organic farming, equipping farmers with practical knowledge to manage crop disease without the use of chemical inputs.
    The programme witnesses active participation of 31 farmers of village Liktsey.
