Nubra, June 27, 2026: The Administrative Secretary, Public Works Department (PWD), UT Ladakh, Sh. Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary, IAS, today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress of ongoing road and bridge projects being executed by R&B.
During the meeting, the Administrative Secretary reviewed the status of various projects and sought detailed updates on their physical and financial progress, completion timelines, upgradation works, liabilities, and the key bottlenecks affecting their execution.
Emphasizing timely and quality execution, Sh. Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary directed the Executive Engineers to prepare comprehensive project-wise details under the CRIF, PMGSY, SDP, and State Sector CAPEX and other departmental projects executed by PWD. He further instructed the officers and officials to proactively resolve project-related issues in close coordination with the Deputy Commissioner and the Sub-Divisional Magistrate.
The Administrative Secretary stressed the need to prioritize works on a component-wise basis, particularly those in habitation areas, and ensure that all ongoing projects are completed within the stipulated timelines. He also underscored the importance of regular monitoring, effective coordination among field officers, and prompt resolution of site-specific issues to accelerate project implementation.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Commissioner, Nubra, Sh. Mukul Beniwal, IAS; the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Nubra, Sh. Jigmet Rabtan, JKAS; SE PMGSY Ladakh, Executive Engineers of PWD (R&B and PMGSY), Assistant Engineers, Junior Engineers, and other concerned officials.
