Drass, July 06, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Drass, Imteeaz Kacho (JKAS), today inaugurated “The Gym – Train with Musa” along with Superintendent of Police Drass, Ishtyaq Kacho (JKPS). The newly established fitness centre is located at Khandyal Lungb, near the Sheep Husbandry Office of Drass.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by officials, local youth, sports enthusiasts, members of civil society and residents of the area reflecting the growing interest in health, fitness and youth development in Drass. The event commenced with a warm welcome to the dignitaries, followed by the ceremonial ribbon-cutting and inspection of the gym facilities.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner congratulated the proprietor, Musa Raheem, for taking the initiative to establish a modern fitness centre in Drass. He appreciated the efforts made to create a dedicated space where young people can pursue physical fitness and develop healthy lifestyles. The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that fitness is an essential component of overall well-being and plays a significant role in enhancing discipline, confidence and productivity among the youth.
He further stated that such private initiatives complement the Administration’s efforts towards youth empowerment by providing constructive recreational avenues and encouraging positive engagement. He urged young people to make full use of the facility and adopt regular exercise as a part of their daily routine to promote both physical and mental health.
Addressing the gathering, the Superintendent of Police also congratulated the proprietor on the successful establishment of the gym.
