    The Department of Industries and Commerce, UT Ladakh in coordination with RAMP SPIU successfully organised and completed MSME Workshop on E-Commerce, GST Registration and ONDC Onboarding Conducted under Intervention No. LA-05 of the RAMP Programme under the overall supervision of the Director, Industries & Commerce, UT Ladakh.

    The RAMP team under the Department of Industries & Commerce, UT Ladakh, successfully organized a one-day MSME Workshop on E-Commerce, GST Registration and Onboarding on the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) under LA-05 of the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Scheme on 11 July 2026 at the DIC Hall, Department of Industries & Commerce, Leh.
    The workshop was attended by 25 participants, including MSME entrepreneurs, aspiring entrepreneurs, officials from various government departments and other stakeholders. The programme aimed to enhance awareness on digital commerce, GST registration and compliance, ONDC onboarding, and the various support schemes available to MSMEs.
    The programme commenced with an introduction to the objectives of the RAMP Scheme and the importance of adopting digital technologies to improve the competitiveness and market access of MSMEs in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
    Ms. Shubham, Project Officer, Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), conducted a detailed session on ONDC onboarding. She provided a comprehensive explanation of the ONDC ecosystem and demonstrated the complete online process for onboarding businesses onto the platform. Through a live demonstration, she guided participants on registration procedures, documentation requirements, seller account creation and the benefits of joining ONDC to access wider digital markets.
    Mr. Isfyindar Khan, Inspector, State Taxes Department, delivered an informative session on GST registration and compliance. He explained the significance of GST registration for MSMEs, the registration process, filing requirements and compliance obligations. He also addressed several queries raised by participants, providing practical clarification on GST-related issues faced by entrepreneurs.
    Mr. Mohd Zakiria , Functional Manager, District Industries Centre (DIC), Leh, delivered a detailed presentation on the various MSME schemes implemented by the Department of Industries & Commerce, UT Ladakh. He highlighted the financial assistance, incentives, entrepreneurship development programmes, credit-linked schemes and other government initiatives available for MSMEs, encouraging entrepreneurs to take advantage of these opportunities for business growth and expansion.
    Thinlay Norbu, Block Investigator, DIC Leh presented a quick review of the Transport Subsidy scheme applicable under LA-6 to be availed by the entrepreneurs using the EODB (Ease of Doing Business) portal as part of the digital application process.
    Officials from the Department of Industries & Commerce, EDII, Excise and Taxation Department and RAMP SPIU also interacted with the participants, addressing their concerns and providing practical guidance on digital business opportunities, government support mechanisms and market access initiatives.
    The workshop concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, during which participants actively engaged with the resource persons and appreciated the practical demonstrations and informative discussions. The programme reaffirmed the commitment of the Department of Industries & Commerce, UT Ladakh, under the RAMP Scheme, towards strengthening the MSME ecosystem through digital empowerment, capacity building and improved market access.
