ADDC Leh Chairs MY Bharat District Advisory Committee Meeting.
Leh, July 22, 2026: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Leh, Rigzin Spalgon JKAS, chaired the meeting of the MY Bharat District Advisory Committee (DAC) in the VC Room of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Leh, to review the implementation of MY Bharat initiatives and deliberate on strategies for enhancing youth engagement across the district.
The meeting was attended by the State Director, MY Bharat; Chief Education Officer, Leh; Deputy Director, MY Bharat; Deputy Director, Employment; District Social Welfare Officer; Assistant Director, DIPR; Principal, EJM College; District Lead Bank Manager; District Youth Services & Sports Officer; Accounts Officer, DC Office; Assistant Registrar, University of Ladakh; and other concerned officials.
MY Bharat District Youth Officer (Additional Charge) presented the agenda and gave a detailed overview of MY Bharat as a phygital platform aimed at empowering and engaging India’s youth. He shared district-wise registration data on the MY Bharat Portal and highlighted the need to increase youth enrolment through coordinated efforts by all stakeholder departments.
The officer elaborated on the core roles of MY Bharat, including the development of a single-window platform to connect youth with educational institutions, government departments, skill development agencies and volunteer opportunities. He also apprised the chair about the pillars of continuous youth engagement, including education, skill development, volunteerism and leadership.
The meeting also reviewed ongoing initiatives under MY Bharat, including the Viksit Bharat Online Quizzes, Mock Youth Parliament, Viksit Vibrant Village Programme, and the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026. It was informed that students selected through the online quizzes are being engaged under various youth-centric programmes, while the Young Leaders Dialogue aims to encourage active participation of youth in nation-building.
Special emphasis was laid on the PM Internship Scheme (PMIS) Camp, during which officials discussed the opportunities, internships and scholarships available under the programme. The ADDC Leh directed the concerned departments to undertake extensive awareness campaigns and submit proposals to ensure maximum participation of eligible youth from Leh district.
The meeting also discussed expectations from the district administration in strengthening the implementation of MY Bharat initiatives and enhancing coordination among stakeholder departments.
Chairing the meeting, ADDC Leh Rigzin Spalgon JKAS assured full support from the district administration for the successful implementation of MY Bharat programmes. He put emphasis on awareness camp among the youths on PM Internship Scheme (PMIS) Camp, awareness strategies and mechanisms to maximise youth registration on the MY Bharat Portal. He also emphasised greater inter-departmental convergence and suggested aligning outreach efforts with the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan to mobilise more youth and ensure wider participation in MY Bharat initiatives across the district.
