Two-Day Cleanliness Drive and Waste Collection Campaign Conducted from Khardong La Top to T-Mord.
Nubra, July 25, 2026: As per the directions of the Deputy Commissioner, Nubra, Shri Mukul Beniwal, IAS, a two-day cleanliness drive and waste collection campaign was conducted from Khardong La Top to North Pullu, Khardong Village, Khalsar Village and onward to T-Mord.
During the drive, the entire roadside stretch from Khardong La Top to North Pullu, Khardong Village, and up to T-Mord was thoroughly cleaned. The surrounding areas were also cleared of litter. Carry bags were distributed at the North Pullu Army area to facilitate proper waste collection and promote responsible waste disposal.
Shopkeepers and hotel owners were instructed to install dustbins at their establishments and ensure the proper disposal of waste to maintain cleanliness in the area.
The Taxi Union and Tempo Traveller Union were also directed to ensure that all drivers carry garbage bags in their vehicles and make their use mandatory for the proper collection and disposal of waste.
The two-day cleanliness drive was successfully carried out with the active participation and cooperation of all the concerned departments and stakeholders, reinforcing the District Administration’s commitment to maintaining a clean, green and eco-friendly environment across Nubra District.
