DC Sham Chairs Review Meeting on Education Department Schemes.
Khaltse, July 29, 2026: Deputy Commissioner, Sham, Smt. Kunzes Angmo (JKAS), today chaired a review meeting at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Sham, to assess the implementation and progress of various flagship schemes of the Education Department in the district.
During the meeting, the Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) and Zonal Resource Person (ZRP), Khaltse, delivered a detailed PowerPoint presentation highlighting the status of key flagship schemes, including PM-POSHAN, PM SHRI Schools, and the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, being implemented across Sham District.
The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the progress of these flagship schemes and emphasized the need to strengthen their implementation in all educational institutions across the district. She directed the concerned officers to ensure effective execution of the schemes so that students receive their intended benefits. She also emphasized the availability of separate functional toilets for girls and boys in every school, strengthening YATO Clubs, establishment of nutrition gardens, maintenance of hygiene while preparing lunch, and the regular conduct of Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs).
DC Sham also reviewed the progress of under-construction school buildings and assessed the availability of essential infrastructure, including drinking water and electricity, in educational institutions across the district. She instructed the concerned departments to expedite all pending works and ensure that every school is provided with the necessary basic facilities without delay.
