    DIET Leh Hosts UT-Level Science Exhibition – 53rd Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshan 2026 Leh, August 10, 2026: The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh, successfully hosted the UT-Level Science Exhibition – 53rd Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshan 2026, organised under the aegis of NCERT, with enthusiastic participation from students and educators across the Union Territory of Ladakh. Smt. Bhanu Prabha graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Sh. Sonam Dorje Namgyal, Principal, DIET Leh, extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, distinguished judges, participating students, teachers and all stakeholders, emphasising the importance of scientific temperament, creativity, innovation and experiential learning among young learners. The exhibition provided a meaningful platform for students to showcase their scientific ideas, innovative models and problem-solving abilities, while encouraging curiosity, critical thinking and application of scientific knowledge to real-life challenges. The exhibits were assessed by a panel of judges on various parameters, including scientific understanding, originality, creativity, utility and presentation. The event reflected the commitment of the education system in Ladakh towards nurturing scientific aptitude and innovation among students in consonance with the vision of NEP 2020. The Themes were. 1. Health and Hygiene. 2. Green Energy. 3. Emerging Technologies. 4. Waste management and alternatives to plastic. 5. Sustainable development. 6.
