    Drass District Administration organizes Bike Rally Under the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign.
    DRASS, AUGUST 10: As part of the ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, the District Administration of Drass today organized a bike rally to promote patriotism, strengthen the spirit of national unity and spread awareness about the dignity and importance of the National Flag.
    The Deputy Commissioner Drass, Imteeaz Kacho, JKAS, flagged off the rally from the Campus of Government Higher Secondary School, Drass in the presence of Hon’ble Councillor, LAHDC (Bhimbat Constituency) Adbul Wahid and various Officers besides school students and members of civil society. The bike rally was led by Superintendent of Police, Ishtyaq Kacho. He was joined by Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Vishal Atri and officials of various departments and representatives of PGCIL besides youngsters of the District. The rally moved from Drass Market through Kargil War Memorial and proceeded towards Shimsha. The entire group stopped at the Kargil War Memorial on the way back and paid tributes to the brave soldiers who had laid down their lives for the nation during the Kargil War in 1999.
    Before the flag-off ceremony, the National Song and National Anthem were played setting a patriotic tone for the event. The participants carried the National Flag throughout the rally conveying a message of unity, patriotism and national pride.
    Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner called upon the people of Drass, particularly the youth, to actively participate in the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign and celebrate the spirit of the nation with enthusiasm and a sense of responsibility. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the dignity and respect of the National Flag. He also urged youngsters to shun drugs and lead a positive life in the company of friends and family.
    The Deputy Commissioner said that such programmes provide an opportunity for citizens to come together and strengthen the spirit of national unity. He further encouraged the youth to participate actively in patriotic activities and contribute towards fostering a sense of collective responsibility and national pride.
    The Superintendent of Police urged the bikers to ride safe and wear their helmets mandatorily during the bike rally. He added that the riders should keep the environment clean during the rally and desist from littering.
    The Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign is being observed across Drass District from August 9th to 17th August, 2026. During the campaign, the District Administration is organizing a series of patriotic activities and programmes aimed at encouraging wider public participation and reinforcing the message of unity, patriotism and respect for the National Flag.
