Impressive Har Ghar Tiranga Rally held in Drass with huge participation.
Drass, August 11, 2026: As part of the ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, the District Administration Drass today organized a Tiranga Rally from D’Meadows Hotel side to Tourist Dak Bungalow, witnessing enthusiastic participation from students, youth and officials.
The rally was led by the Deputy Commissioner Drass Imteeaz Kacho and witnessed the participation of the Superintendent of Police Ishtyaq Kacho, Principal, GDC-Drass, Tehsildar (HQ) to Deputy Commissioner, Block Medical Officer, Principal, Goernment Higher Secondary School, Drass, Station House Officer, Naib Tehsildar (HQ) to Deputy Commissioner, faculty and students of GDC-Drass, Government Higher Secondary Schools and other schools, besides local youth, members of the medical fraternity and representatives of Darul Tabliq led by President Sheikh Hussain Baramo. Carrying the tricolour with pride, the participants marched along the route, raising patriotic slogans and spreading the message of national unity, peace and harmony.
Interacting with students and participants, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the significance of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and said that the Tiranga is not merely a flag but a powerful symbol of India’s freedom, unity, courage, peace and national pride. He recalled the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and brave soldiers who devoted their lives to safeguarding the dignity, sovereignty and integrity of the nation. Further, he encouraged students to understand the true meaning of freedom and urged them to free themselves from every negative habit and social ills, work towards self-improvement and contribute positively to society and the nation.
He reiterated that the youth of Drass should remain away from drugs and become agents of change on the path of progress of the newly created District. He added that the spirit of the tricolour should inspire every citizen to uphold unity, discipline, responsibility and respect for the nation. He urged them to show the same enthusiasm by attending the Independence Day celebrations on 15th August.
Principal, GDC-Drass MNM Shabani also spoke on the occasion and appreciated the zeal of all the participants shown in the rally. He threw light on various aspects of nationalism and the freedom struggle.
The rally concluded with a renewed commitment by the participants to carry forward the message of patriotism, unity and responsible citizenship under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
