Leh, August 14: The spirit of patriotism and national pride came alive in Leh as artisans, weavers and employees of the Handicrafts and Handloom Department participated enthusiastically in a Tiranga Rally organised in the office campus and through the streets of Leh.
Carrying the Tricolour with pride, the participants marched together, raising patriotic slogans and spreading the message of unity, national pride and devotion to the nation. The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from artisans and departmental employees, reflecting the strong bond between the handicrafts and handloom community and the spirit of Har Ghar Tiranga.
A special highlight of the rally was the inspiring participation of women artisans. Mahila Shakti took centre stage, with women artisans leading the rally with confidence and enthusiasm, showcasing not only their rich traditional skills but also their active role in nation-building.
The vibrant participation of artisans and employees transformed the rally into a celebration of patriotism, culture and community spirit. The event also highlighted the important contribution of Ladakh’s artisan community in preserving the region’s traditional crafts while actively participating in national celebrations.
The Tiranga Rally added a meaningful and colourful dimension to the Independence Day celebrations in Leh, reinforcing the message of unity in diversity, pride in our heritage and love for the nation.
