Full Dress Rehearsal for 80th Independence Day Held at SDM Office Ground, Kharu.
Kharu, August 13, 2026: A full dress rehearsal for the celebration of the 80th Independence Day 2026 was conducted today at the SDM Office Ground, Kharu. Naib Tehsildar Gya, Shri Asghar Ali, hoisted the National Flag and presided over the parade.
The programme commenced with the rendition of the National Song and National Anthem, followed by the Guard of Honour presented by the Ladakh Police, Kharu.
The march-past was presented by contingents comprising personnel of Ladakh Police, Kharu, students of Government Higher Secondary School Sakti , and students from various schools of Kharu Sub-Division, along with the Band platoon of GHSS Sakti.
Officers and officials from various departments of Kharu Sub-Division were present during the event.
