    DC Drass Attends Inaugural Ceremony of Free Crash Course for Sub Inspector & Constable Recruitment.
    Drass, August 17, 2026: Drass District Police, in collaboration with the Students & Scholars Association Drass (SASAD), inaugurated a Free Crash Course for Sub Inspector and Constable aspirants in Drass today with the aim of providing quality guidance and academic support to local youth preparing for competitive examinations.
    The inaugural event, held under the guidance and supervision of Superintendent of Police Ishtiyaq Kacho (JKPS), was graced by Deputy Commissioner Imteeaz Kacho (JKAS) along with SDM-Drass Vishal Attri (JKAS); Principal GDC-Draqss Nasir Shabani, Principal, GHSS-Drass Safoora Bano; Station House Officer Mohammad Abdullah; Inspector Jameel Ahmad, Police and civil officials, President-SASAD Dr. Abdul Mateen Noor, aspirants and several sponsors supporting the initiative.
    Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated the efforts of Drass District Police in taking the valuable initiative to provide free guidance to the aspirants belonging to Drass. He emphasized the importance of such programmes in guiding and shaping the future of young aspirants. Other dignitaries also appreciated the initiative and encouraged the students to work with dedication, discipline and consistency.
    The Deputy Commissioner extended best wishes to the aspirants and guides of the course and advised the aspirants to adopt smart work techniques in the process of their preparations for the written test. He laid stress on the need for group studies and constant peer consultations. Further, he expressed gratitude to the Principal of the Higher Secondary School for having provided her space in her school for the crash course. He also appreciated the performance of her school’s students in the march past and the skit on nationalism during the recent Independence Day function held at the International Horse Polo Stadium.
    The Superintendent of Police, Ishtyaq Kacho, briefed the gathering about the crash course and how local entrepreuneurs and agencies had come forward to sponsor the initiative. He als lauded the efforts of SASAD towards providing guidance to the aspirants of Police recruitment. He then led a pledge for a Drug-Free Ladakh which was taken by the dignitaries, aspirants and audience with the message “Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Life.”
    President SASAD, Dr. Abdul Mateen Noor, expressed gratitude to District Police Drass, particularly the Superintendent of Police, for this meaningful collaboration and assured that SASAD would continue working for the educational welfare and empowerment of students and scholars.
    The programme concluded with the presentation of a vote of thanks by Inspector Jameel who motivated the youth with inspiring words of wisdom.
    The initiative reflects a strong commitment towards youth empowerment, educational support, and a drug-free and progressive Drass.
