ADC Kargil Attends 2nd Edition of rZamba Children’s Fest at Baroo.
Kargil, August 19, 2026: Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Shabir Hussain, JKAS, attended the second edition of the Rzamba Children’s Fest at Baroo, organised around the theme “Learning Reimagined – Reimagining Education Through Project-Based Learning.”
During his visit, the ADC inspected stalls showcasing innovative projects and learning activities prepared by students of various schools adopted by rZamba. He interacted with the students, appreciated their creativity and project-based learning approach, and encouraged them to continue developing practical and innovative learning skills.
The ADC also suggested organising a 15-day phonics course during the summer vacation to strengthen students’ foundational reading, pronunciation and language skills.
The Children’s Fest provided students an opportunity to showcase their learning beyond conventional classroom methods through projects, experiments and creative presentations. The rZamba Trust conducted the event with support from various partners, including HDFC Life, Wipro Foundation, Dasra, Royal Enfield, NHPC, Ladakh Police, LAHDC Kargil, DIET Kargil, TFI and the School Education Department, Ladakh.
Later, SSP Kargil Nitin Yadav also visited the stalls and interacted with the participating students. He appreciated their efforts and encouraged them to actively participate in such educational and co-curricular initiatives.
Founder of rZamba Trust, Stanzin Saldon Shifah while talking to media highlighted the importance of experiential and project-based learning in nurturing creativity, curiosity, confidence and problem-solving skills among children.
