Three-Day Training for Population Enumeration for Enumerators and Supervisors of Tehsil Leh Commences for Census 2027.
Leh, August 19: A three-day training programme for enumerators and supervisors of Tehsil Leh commenced today at the Conference Hall, DC Office, Leh, as part of the preparations for Population Enumeration under the second phase of Census 2027. The training is being conducted from August 19–21, 2026.
During the training, Arun Kumar, JD Census Operations, along with Sh. Jatinder Kumar, Assistant Director, Census Operations and Nodal Officer for Ladakh UT; CPO Leh and Nodal Officer for District Leh, Konchok Gyalson; and Census District Coordinator Tashi Otsal, visited the venue to supervise the training and interact with the participants. They briefed the trainees on key aspects of the census exercise and stressed the importance of accurate and systematic data collection.
The field trainers, Mohammad Rohulla and Zahir Ahmad, delivered presentations on various practical and field-level aspects of the enumeration process, including digital literacy-related questions and other areas to be covered during the field exercise.
The trainers also urged the trainees and all residents of Ladakh to complete their Self Enumeration using the
weblink https://se-snowbound.census.gov.in,
which is currently open for all residents of Ladakh. Residents have been encouraged to complete the Self Enumeration process before August 31, 2026.
The training aims to familiarise the enumerators and supervisors with the procedures, tools and field-level requirements to ensure accurate and effective conduct of Population Enumeration under Census 2027 in Tehsil Leh.
