Director FCS&CA, Mohd Ashraf Bhat Inspects Food Sale Centres in Kargil.
Kargil, August 20, 2026: Director Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA), UT Ladakh, Mohd. Ashraf Bhat, JKAS today visited the Main Food Sale Centres, Bazar-1 and Bazar-2, Kargil to assess the availability and storage of ration supplies for the people of Kargil town and adjoining areas.
During the visit, Chief Inspector Mohd. Toha was also present. The Director conducted a detailed inspection of the food storage facilities and took a comprehensive review of the stock position, storage arrangements and availability of ration supplies for Kargil town and the surrounding areas.
The Director stressed upon the concerned officials to ensure proper storage and timely distribution of ration supplies so that consumers do not face any inconvenience. He also directed the staff to maintain adequate stocks and ensure efficient management of ration supplies in accordance with the prescribed norms.
The visit was aimed at ensuring smooth, timely and uninterrupted availability of essential food supplies to the public of Kargil and its adjoining areas.
