SDM Nubra Chairs Meeting with Departmental Heads.
Nubra, August 25, 2026: Sub-Divisional Magistrate Nubra, Shri Mohd Safder Bhat, JKAS, today convened a meeting with the Heads of Departments of Nubra District to review the overall functioning and progress of various departments, with particular focus on punctuality, timely disposal of official work and availability of officials as and when required. The meeting also reviewed the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan campaign being observed from August 24 to 29 across the district.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the timely execution of various activities planned under the week-long campaign. The SDM directed all concerned departments to ensure effective coordination and complete their assigned tasks within the stipulated timeline.
The meeting also discussed the collection of information on local employment opportunities through questionnaires, with a view to identifying potential placement opportunities for local youth wherever feasible.
The campaign includes painting competitions, exhibition stalls, awareness camps and other activities aimed at sensitising the public about the harmful effects of substance abuse and promoting a healthy and drug-free society.
The SDM emphasised the need for punctuality, active participation, inter-departmental coordination and collective efforts for the effective implementation of the campaign and smooth functioning of departments across Nubra District.
The meeting was attended by all Heads of Departments of Nubra District.
