Drug Awareness Programmes Conducted at Domkhar Gongma and Domkhar Dho.
Sham, Ladakh | August 27, 2026: District Police Sham, under the supervision of SSP Sham Malik Aijaz(JKPS), in collaboration with the Civil Administration Sham, conducted Drug Awareness Programmes at Domkhar Gongma and Domkhar Dho villages.
At Domkhar Gongma, Inspector Tsewang Norboo, SHO Police Station Khaltsi, along with Stanzin Diskit (CHO) and Lobzang Chorol (ANM), sensitized participants on the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of timely counselling and medical assistance.
At Domkhar Dho, Inspector Tsewang Norboo, SHO Police Station Khaltsi, along with Amina Bee (CHO) and Tsering Diskit (ANM), highlighted the social, legal and health impacts of substance abuse and urged community participation in combating the drug menace.
The programmes witnessed participation from local residents, youth and village representatives, who were urged to remain vigilant and report drug-related activities to the police.
