Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2026 Campaign Observed in District Sham.
Khaltsi, September 17, 2026: The Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2026 campaign commenced today in District Sham as part of the ongoing efforts under the Swachh Bharat Mission. The campaign is being observed across the Country from September 17 to October 2, 2026.
This year’s campaign, themed “Swachhata Mein Sahbhag, Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat,” underscores the collective responsibility of individuals and communities in promoting cleanliness and contributing towards the vision of a clean and developed India.
As part of the campaign, Deputy Commissioner, Sham, Smt. Kunzes Angmo (JKAS), administered the Swachhata pledge at the Rural Development Department Hall, Khaltsi. Addressing the gathering, she highlighted the importance of cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene, and urged all officers and officials to actively participate in the campaign.
On the occasion, the BDO, Khaltsi, briefed officers and officials of various government departments, implementing agencies, Panchayati Raj Institutions and other stakeholders about the SHS 2026 campaign and its objectives. He emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts and active public participation in promoting cleanliness.
As part of the campaign, the Rural Development Department (RDD), Khaltsi, also organised a cleanliness drive, in which all government employees actively participated. The cleanliness drive aimed to promote cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene in and around the departmental premises while encouraging a sense of collective responsibility among government employees.
The campaign in District Sham will focus on the active participation of Panchayati Raj Institutions, local communities, voluntary organisations and other stakeholders, with emphasis on cleanliness, sanitation, hygiene and community participation in the spirit of Jan Bhagidari.
The campaign aims to strengthen public awareness and encourage collective action towards maintaining clean and hygienic surroundings, thereby reinforcing the commitment to a Swachh and Viksit Bharat.
