On 21st September, 2026, a workshop on the theme ‘Bric idea resonator Bootcamp Scouting and Scaling grassroots innovation – from local ideas to scalable solutions’ organised by SKUAST-K Rural Business Incubation Centre and NABARD in collaboration with EJM College Leh.
Program began with formal welcome address by Assistant Professor Sonam Gyalson, Skill Coordinator, EJM College Leh followed by welcome of guests by worthy Principal EJM College Leh Prof. Stanzin Yangdol with traditional Khataks. Key resource person of the workshop was Dr. Jameel Ahmad Khan, Director/CEO SKUAST-K RBIC Foundation, who enlightened the participants with his expertise and experience in the field of rural entrepreneurship, startup and innovation. He interacted with the participants through his simple but effective presentation explaining basic terms such as invention, innovation, entrepreneurship, startup, etc. and moved onto advanced developments in the world of business. He also spoke about SKUAST-K RBIC Foundation and its role in funding innovative ideas to transform them into successful entrepreneurship and business ventures.
At the end, idea pitching session was also held in which few participants presented their innovative ideas for further selection. Mr. Tsewang Dorjay, MD NABARD Ladakh who was guest of honour addressed the participants and apprised about the importance of such bootcamp workshops in this time of AI and innovation.
Mr. Inam ul Haq Andarabi, Innovation/Business Manager SKUAST-K RBIC Foundation also spoke on the occasion.
Around 80 students participated along with four skill instructors from EJM College Leh.
The program concluded with felicitation of the guests and resource persons by Principal EJM College Leh and Dr. Jameel Ahmad Khan.At the end, formal vote of thanks was presented by Mr. Mir Imran, Financial Manager, SKUAST-K.
