ADC Kargil Conducts Quarterly Physical Verification of EVM/VVPAT Warehouse.
Kargil, September 29, 2026: Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Shabir Hussain (JKAS), today conducted the mandatory quarterly physical verification and inspection of the EVM/VVPAT Warehouse at Kurbathang Plateau near LAHDC Secretariat, Kargil.
The inspection was carried out as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India in the presence of concerned officers and representatives from various departments, including Police, Treasury, NIC, Election Cell, Fire & Emergency Services and representatives of political parties.
During the visit, the Additional DC reviewed the security arrangements, sealing procedures and maintenance of records related to the EVM/VVPAT warehouse. The prescribed procedures regarding opening and closing of the warehouse were carried out in accordance with Election Commission norms.
The inspection process was completed smoothly in the presence of all concerned stakeholders as per laid down guidelines.
