    Two-Day Capacity Building Programme on Skill Education Concludes at DIET Leh.
    Leh, September 30, 2026: The two-day Capacity Building Programme for Teachers on the Implementation of Skill Education through Kaushal Bodh and Kaushal Vikas Textbooks concluded today at the District Institute of Education & Training (DIET), Leh. The programme was organised under the guidance of the Department of Skill Education, CBSE, New Delhi, in coordination with the Directorate of School Education, Ladakh.
    The programme, held on September 29-30, 2026, was aimed at strengthening the capacity of Principals and teachers teaching Skill Education in Classes 6-10, with a special focus on the effective use and implementation of the Kaushal Bodh and Kaushal Vikas textbooks through experiential, activity-based and project-oriented learning.
    The concluding ceremony was graced by distinguished representatives and resource persons from CBSE, New Delhi, including Sh. R. P. Singh, Additional Director/Associate Professor, CBSE; Sh. Satish Pahal, Joint Director/Assistant Professor, CBSE; Ms. Alka Singh, Principal, Blue Bells Model School, Gurugram, Haryana; and Dr. Shyda Rana, Freelancer/Consultant, Army Public School, Delhi Cantt.
    Welcoming the distinguished guests and participants, I/C Principal DIET Leh, Sh. Mirza Mehdi, delivered the welcome address. He highlighted the importance of integrating skill education into school learning and emphasised the need to provide students with meaningful opportunities for learning by doing, creativity, problem-solving and practical application of knowledge.
    The resource persons from CBSE and the participating schools shared their expertise, experiences and practical strategies for strengthening Skill Education at the school level. The interactive sessions also provided teachers an opportunity to discuss challenges, exchange ideas and explore ways of adapting skill-based activities to their local context.
    The concluding session reflected on the learning outcomes of the programme and emphasised that the success of Skill Education ultimately depends on its effective translation from textbooks into meaningful classroom experiences.
    The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the Department of skill Education, CBSE, New Delhi, Directorate of School Education, Ladakh, DIET Leh esource persons, Principals and all participating teachers for their valuable contribution and active participation.
