DC Sham Reviews Functioning of Jal Jeevan Mission.
Khaltsi, October 16, 2026: The Deputy Commissioner, Sham, Smt. Kunzes Angmo (JKAS), today chaired a meeting at the Conference Hall of the DC Office, Sham, to review the functioning of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in the district.
The meeting was attended by the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Khaltsi and Likir; Executive Engineer of the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department Sham; Tehsildar, Saspol; Naib Tehsildar Headquarter Khaltsi, Skurbuchan and Temisgam; Assistant Executive Engineer, Kargil; concerned Junior Engineers; and Lambardars of revenue villages in Sham district.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the functioning of the Jal Jeevan Mission and discussed its progress with the concerned officers and Lambardars. The PHE Department also delivered a PowerPoint presentation on the status and progress of the Jal Jeevan Mission in the district. She emphasized the importance of effective implementation and regular monitoring of JJM-related activities across the district.
Smt. Kunzes Angmo directed the concerned PHE officers and Lambardars to maintain close coordination and ensure the smooth functioning of the mission. She stressed the need to address discrepancies and resolve any issues affecting its implementation without delay.
The Deputy Commissioner further emphasized that accurate records and regular monitoring are essential for effective implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission and for ensuring the delivery of safe and adequate drinking water to the people.
The meeting concluded with directions to all concerned officers and Lambardars to ensure the effective functioning of JJM and coordinated efforts for the successful implementation of the mission in Sham district.
