The Animal Birth Control and Anti-Rabies (ABC&AR) Team of the Animal Husbandry Department, Leh, organized an eight-day ABC&AR camp in Nubra District .

Leh, Oct. 27, 2026: The Animal Birth Control and Anti-Rabies (ABC&AR) Team of the Animal Husbandry Department, Leh, organized an eight-day ABC&AR camp in Nubra District from October 8 to 15, 2026.
The program was conducted in collaboration with Indian Army with the objective of managing the stray dog population and minimizing the risk of rabies through sterilization and vaccination.
During the camp, the team comprising veterinarians, paraveterinary staff, and animal handlers sterilized and vaccinated a total of 466 stray dogs (Male: 292 and Female: 174).
