DC Sankoo Visits Syed Haider Rizvi Memorial Government Higher Secondary School.
Sankoo, November 5, 2026: Deputy Commissioner, Sankoo, Imteeaz Kacho visited the Syed Haider Rizvi Memorial Government Higher Secondary School, Sankoo, along with Sub-Division Magistrate Dr.Sarwar Shahzad and other officials. He interacted with students and school authorities to review the institution’s key infrastructural and academic requirements and to see how effectively the school is functioning.
During the visit, the Principal highlighted several pressing issues including inadequate space for the school’s laboratory, need for an examination hall and shortage of essential equipment in various laboratories. Other requirements including construction of a kitchen and dining hall, establishment of a well-equipped library, upgradation of classrooms and reconstruction of dilapidated toilets and washrooms were also highlighted.
While interacting with students, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of education, mental well-being and a healthy lifestyle. He advised students to stay away from drug abuse, remain positive and seek timely support in dealing with stress and depression. Further, he urged them to make good use of the library books and read them as frequently as possible.
The Deputy Commissioner assured the school authorities that the issues raised would be examined for appropriate intervention and necessary action.

The Deputy Commissioner also paid a visit to the model polling station located in the premises of the school. He was received by the Returning Officer Shakeel Ahmad who briefed him about the activities and functioning of the polling station.
