CEC Leh felicitates APJ Abdul Kalam Scientific Excellence Awardee Dr. Konchok Dorjey

Leh, July 05: The Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Advocate Tashi Gyalson felicitated Dr. Konchok Dorjey, Assistant Professor of Botany at EJM College, Leh on receiving the prestigious Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Scientific Excellence Award for the year 2020.
CEC Tashi Gyalson appreciated Dr. Konchok’s immense contribution in the field of Mycology, particularly the macrofungal diversity of Ladakh, ethnomycology, and ethnobotany.
Dr Konchok Dorjey also handed over a book authored by him and Phuntsog Dolma titled ‘Plants of Ladakh, A Photographic Guide’ which has been published by Nature Conservation Foundation, India. Dr. Konchok requested CEC Leh to launch the book virtually on the 7th of July 2021.
