CEC Tashi Gyalson visits Basgo Constituency, Assesses public grievances and developmental needs
Leh, July 15: The Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Leh, Advocate Tashi Gyalson visited the villages of Taru, Umla, Nimo, Basgo and Ney of Basgo constituency today.
CEC Tashi Gyalson was accorded a warm welcome at all the villages since it is his first visit to the said constituency after taking charge of the 6th LAHDC Leh. The village representatives put forth the grievances as well as demands of the villagers to the Chairman. The issues include water lifting and drinking water facilities, need for restoration of irrigation head works as well as flood control works especially for the major Nala/streams of the villages, completion of minor connectivity bridges at streams, renovation as well as black-topping of roads, land allotment and compensation issues, need for computer rooms at schools, heritage preservation, telecommunication requirement, completion of community halls and promotion of tourism in the villages of the Constituency.
CEC Tashi Gyalson visited several sites to inspect the on-ground situation and discussed all the issues with the people and officers/officials of concerned departments. He directed concerned departmental officials to identify particular concerns and address the basic requirements of the people at the earliest. Interacting with the public delegations, CEC Tashi Gyalson stated that he will definitely revisit all the grievances and assured his assistance in addressing all the genuine demands and developmental requirements of the villages of Basgo Constituency.
Public representative led by Councillor Basgo Constituency, Tsering Norboo extended his gratitude to CEC Tashi Gyalson and all the officers/officials of various departments to assess the ground situation and address public issues doorsteps in this day-long tour to the constituency.
CEC Tashi Gyalson was accompanied by Councillor Basgo Constituency, BDC Chairperson Nimo, I/C BDO Nimo, CMO Leh, Executive Engineers of PDD, R&B, PHE and Irrigation-Flood Control and other departmental officials of Leh district.
