A District level Science and Math’s quiz competition-2025 for both senior and junior categories was organized in the Exhibition Hall of DIET Leh.

A District level Science and Math’s quiz competition-2025 for both senior and junior categories was organized in the Exhibition Hall of DIET Leh. The programme was a joint venture of DIET Leh and IISER Pune. The aim of the program was to encourage learning through fun and interactive activities and to promote healthy competition among the participants.
Total of 12 teams from 6 zones of Leh District viz. Leh, Kharu, Nyoma, Khaltse, Nubra, and Durbuk participated in the program. There were 6 teams in the junior category and 6 in the senior category. All the teams were escorted by one teacher from the zone.In the junior category the first, second and third prizes were won by Govt. Middle School, Tharuk, KGBV School Nyoma and Govt. Middle School – Yulchung respectively. The winners were given mementos with cash prize of Rs 15000/-, Rs 10000/- and Rs 5000/-respectively. In the senior category the first prize was won by Gov. Higher Secondary School – Deskit Nubra, second prize was won by Govt. High School Skalzangling and third prize was won by Govt. Higher Secondary School – Skurbuchan. All the prize winners were given mementos and cash prize of Rs 15000, Rs 10000 and Rs 5000 respectively.
The program was graced by Deldan Angmo, CEO Leh, Sonam Dorje Namgyal, Principal DIET Kargil and Mirza Mehdi, Principal DIET Leh and Tsering Yangdol, HOD DIET Leh. Expert faculty from IISER Pune Mr Mohd Taqi and Mr Bharat were also present.
Program concluded with inspiring words from CEO Leh who stressed on the need of organizing more such programs. She also praised the sincere efforts of DIET Leh and IISER Pune and congratulated all the winners. Principal DIET Kargil also spoke on the occasion and congratulated all the winners. Mr Mohd Taqi, an expert from IISER Pune also congratulated the winners.
