AAM-PHC Sakti Celebrates 10 Years of Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA).
As part of the nationwide celebration of 10 Years of Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA), AAM-PHC Sakti today on 9th June 2026 organized a special PMSMA session to promote safe motherhood and strengthen awareness regarding maternal health services.
The programme was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Chesfida and Dr. Jigmet Wangchuk, Medical Officer, AAM-PHC Sakti, with the active participation and support of the entire PHC team.
During the special PMSMA session, nine (9) pregnant women attended the clinic and received comprehensive antenatal check-ups, including detailed clinical examination, screening for high-risk pregnancies, laboratory investigations, and the provision of essential medications as per government guidelines. The beneficiaries were also monitored for vital parameters and counselled regarding their pregnancy care.
An extensive awareness session was conducted to educate the pregnant women on the importance of regular antenatal care, institutional delivery, early identification of high-risk pregnancies, nutrition during pregnancy, birth preparedness, and the various benefits available under the Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan and other government maternal health schemes. The participants were informed about the free services being provided by the Government to ensure safe motherhood and healthy outcomes for both mother and child.
To mark the occasion and promote maternal nutrition, the pregnant women were served milk, fruits, and eggs following the health session.
The programme concluded with a reaffirmation of AAM-PHC Sakti’s commitment towards ensuring quality maternal healthcare services and achieving the objectives of safe motherhood through regular PMSMA activities and community awareness initiatives.
