ADC/ERO Leh Chairs Meeting on Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Roll.
Leh, March 14, 2026:Additional Deputy Commissioner /Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) Leh, Mukul Beniwal, IAS, chaired a meeting regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the Electoral Roll today at the Mini Conference Room of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Leh.
The meeting was convened to discuss the revision process and strengthen coordination with representatives of political parties/Booth Level Agents (BLA-1) from both districts.
During the meeting, Assistant Chief Electoral Officer Leh, Delex Namgyal (JKAS), briefed the BLA-1 members about the procedure for filling Form BLA-2 and submitting it to the Booth Level Officers (BLOs). He explained the significance of the form in ensuring proper verification and timely updating of electoral records.
While addressing the participants, ADC/ERO Leh highlighted the objective of the SIR, which is to verify and update the electoral rolls to ensure accuracy, inclusion and a fair electoral process. He emphasised the importance of properly filling Form BLA-2 and explained its benefits for BLA-1 members. He also urged the members to follow the prescribed procedures and understand their roles and responsibilities in the electoral ACEO, Leh clarified the concerns and addressed the doubts of the members to ensure better understanding of the revision process.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy District Election Officer Leh, Padma Angmo (JKAS), emphasised that all members should submit their forms on time for better coordination and familiarity with the process. She also informed that necessary training would be provided to facilitate the smooth conduct of the revision exercise.
