    ADC Kargil inaugurates State Level Technical Training for Child Protection Stakeholders.

    Kargil, June 04, 2025 – Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, Imteeaz Kacho, inaugurated a 2-day State Level Technical Training on Mission Vatsalya Portal for various stakeholders involved in child protection at Conference Hall, Baroo, Kargil.
    During his address, the ADC Kargil emphasized the significance of safeguarding children’s rights and tackling issues affecting them in the district. He encouraged the participants to strive diligently in their efforts to address these concerns.
    The initiative aims to enhance the capabilities of stakeholders in effectively implementing child protection programs and ensuring the well-being of children in the district, Imteeaz Kacho added.
    The training featured expert sessions, including a comprehensive presentation on Mission Vatsalya Schemes and the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015, delivered by Abdul Rahim, Programme Manager, UT Child Protection Society.
    Kunzang Dolma, Data Entry Operator, UT Child Protection Society conducted a training on the Mission Vatsalya Portal, encompassing modules, dashboard, and profile updates at the state level.
    Similarly, Tsering Namgyal, Data Analyst, DCPU, Leh provided a session on the District Level Portal and various modules including child registration, management, and various forms.
    Additionally, videos were telecast and shown on child-related issues, the Child Helpline 112, and the POCSO Act, further enhancing the participants’ understanding of critical child protection concerns.
    The training was attended by officials/staff of Child Welfare Committee; Juvenile Justice Board; Special Juvenile Police Unit, Ladakh Police; Specialized Adoption Agency; District Child Protection Unit; Child Helpline; Open Shelter; staff and officials from Child Care Institutions (Private & Govt.) and other stakeholders.
    The Training Programme was organized by the Social & Tribal Welfare Department, UT Ladakh, in collaboration with the Child Protection Society, UT Ladakh.
