    ADC Leh Hosts ‘Mimang-Si-sJabstogs’ Outreach Camp in Upper Leh

    Leh, Ladakh – Additional District Commissioner (ADC) Leh, Mr. Ghulam Mohammad(JKAS), conducted a highly engaging ‘Mimang-Si-sJabstogs’ public outreach and grievance redressal camp at Yangtsay Community Hall, bringing together residents of Sankar, Yurtung, and Chubi Kadpa villages in Upper Leh. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local people, village Nambardars, and officials representing key departments of the Union Territory administration.
    Throughout the day-long interaction, ADC Leh and concerned officers listened attentively to public concerns regarding civic amenities, water supply, road connectivity, education, healthcare, and local infrastructure. Several pending issues were resolved on the spot, with clear instructions issued to the respective departments for immediate follow-up action. The ADC encouraged citizens and their representatives to openly voice grievances during such platforms and emphasized the need for transparency and accountability in all public welfare initiatives. He also directed concerned officials to proactively conduct awareness drives on government schemes at the grassroots level, ensuring information reaches every household in rural and remote areas.
    A major highlight of the camp was the detailed awareness session on government welfare schemes. ADC Leh elaborated on flagship programs such as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, and skill development initiatives under SANKALP and PM Kaushal Vikas Yojana, explaining eligibility, benefits, and application procedures to ensure maximum outreach.
    Officials from various departments also addressed the gathering with sector-specific updates. The Social Welfare Department highlighted support through Old Age Pension, State Marriage Assistance Scheme, scholarships, and mid-day meal programs. The Agriculture Department provided guidance on Per Drop More Crop (PDMC) under micro-irrigation, PM Kisan’s annual ₹6,000 income support, Kisan Credit Card offering credit up to ₹1.60 lakh, and the Ladakh Greenhouse scheme with up to 75% subsidy for protected cultivation to enable year-round vegetable farming.
    The Power Development Department briefed attendees on the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana for 3 kW rooftop solar systems, offering Central subsidy of ₹85,800 and UT subsidy of ₹50,000, along with ongoing infrastructure upgrades funded through UT CAPEX and Special Development Package (SDP) budgets, including projects worth over ₹1,172 crore for smart metering and rural electrification.
    ADC Leh placed strong emphasis on modern education and skill development, urging parents to steer children toward technical and professional courses in fields like IT, engineering, healthcare, and tourism to align with emerging job opportunities. He also stressed the community’s role in safeguarding public assets such as government schools, health centers, water systems, and community halls to ensure sustainable development.
    The Nambardars of Sankar, Yurtung, and Chubi Kadpa played a pivotal role in mobilizing residents and articulating village-level concerns, while the public actively engaged by raising questions and seeking clarifications on ongoing and proposed projects.
    Speaking at the event, ADC Leh, Mr. Ghulam Mohammad, thanked the public for their active participation and reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to inclusive and responsive governance through regular public interactions and swift grievance redressal.
