Additional Registrar, Reviews Cooperative Activities in Shargole and Chiktan.
Kargil, August 10, 2026: The Additional Registrar, Cooperative Department, UT Ladakh, Ms. Nargis Banoo, JKAS, today visited Shargole and Chiktan Blocks as part of her ongoing field tour, accompanied by Accounts Officer, Mr. Mukhtar Hussain Wazir, and other officials of the Office of the Additional Registrar, Cooperative Department.
During the visit, she inspected Assistant Registrar Cooperative Office Shargole and Chiktan and reviewed various cooperative projects and activities. She also visited the under-construction Super Bazar, Fertilizer Godown at Shargole, Service Cooperative Store Mulbekh and Service Cooperative Store at Wakha, followed by visits to the Super Bazar, Fertilizer Godown and ARC Office at Chiktan.
The Additional Registrar interacted with members, Presidents and Secretaries of cooperative societies and discussed their concerns, particularly regarding Central Sector Schemes, funding, service matters and other operational issues. She also explained the Online Cooperative Registration Portal and its benefits.
Several grievances raised by the societies were noted for necessary action. She assured the members that genuine issues would be examined and taken up at the appropriate departmental and administrative levels.
The visit was part of the three-phase field tour programme aimed at strengthening cooperative activities, reviewing ongoing projects and addressing the concerns of cooperative societies at the grassroots level.
