An awareness programme on the ill-effects of drug abuse was successfully organised today at the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) Hostel, Nyoma, with the active participation of hostel students.
The programme was conducted in the presence of members of the Block Level Drug Abuse Committee, the Hostel Warden, and all residing students. During the interactive session, resource persons sensitized the students about the harmful effects of substance abuse, emphasizing its adverse impact on physical and mental health, education, and overall well-being.
The speakers encouraged the students to adopt a healthy and disciplined lifestyle, make informed choices, and contribute towards building a drug-free society. They also highlighted the importance of awareness, peer support, and community participation in preventing drug abuse among youth.
