Astro week event at Drass draws huge crowd despite inclement weather.
Drass May 25, 2026: Despite inclement weather the day 5 event of the Ladakh Astro Week 2026 held at Tourist Bungalow Drass today drew huge crowd of astronomy enthusiasts including tourists, students and the local people.
Deputy Commissioner Drass Sh. Imteeaz Kacho along with the Councillor Bhimbhat Constituency Abdul Wahid along with sub divisional officers and faculty and students of Degree College Drass and Higher Secondary School Drass attended the astro talks on various aspects of astronomy and astro tourism potential of Ladakh presented by the experts of the Indian Astronomical Observatory, Hanle.
The guests also took round of the astrophotography exhibition and stalls of cultural exhibition, local handloom/handicraft and local cuisine.
