Awareness Drive Under ‘Dharti Aaba Abhiyan’ held at Karsha, Zanskar.
Zanskar, July 1, 2025 — A grassroots outreach programme under the national “Dharti Aaba Abhiyan” campaign was conducted today at the Panchayat Ghar in Karsha, aimed at saturating awareness and access to government welfare schemes. The event saw active participation from all line departments and focused on last-mile service delivery.
The Revenue Department facilitated on-the-spot issuance of crucial documents such as domicile, income, and category certificates. The Rural Development Department showcased the work of local Self-Help Groups, while representatives from the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) and State Bank of India (SBI) shared detailed information about various social and financial schemes.
A dedicated medical team provided preventive healthcare guidance and promoted awareness about existing health-related schemes. In addition, the Kargil Renewable Energy Development Authority briefed attendees about the rooftop solar scheme, including how to avail benefits under the initiative.
The programme drew strong participation from the local community and helped bridge information and access gaps, aligning with the core objective of the “Dharti Aaba Abhiyan” — delivering welfare services efficiently to the grassroots.
