Awareness Programme on Ban of Single-Use Plastic Conducted in Hanle.
Nyoma, June 22, 2026: An awareness programme on Single-Use Plastic (SUP) and littering items was conducted today at Hanle under the supervision of Naib Tehsildar Hanle, Ms. Kunzes Dolma. The programme aimed to educate local residents, shopkeepers, and stakeholders about the harmful effects of single-use plastic on the environment and the importance of maintaining cleanliness in the region.
During the programme, participants were sensitized about the provisions relating to the ban on single-use plastic items and were encouraged to adopt eco-friendly alternatives. The importance of proper waste management, segregation of waste, and responsible disposal practices was also highlighted.
Naib Tehsildar Hanle, Ms. Kunzes Dolma, urged the public to actively support environmental conservation efforts by reducing plastic consumption and preventing littering.
The programme concluded with an appeal to all citizens to contribute towards environmental protection and sustainable living practices.
