Bar Association Kargil Hosts High Tea in Honour of Justice Arun Palli, Registrar General M.K. Sharma.
Kargil, June 11, 2026: The Bar Association Kargil organized a High Tea programme on June 10 in honour of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Arun Palli, Judge, Supreme Court of India, and his family during their visit to Kargil. The event was also graced by the presence of Sh. M.K. Sharma, Registrar General of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
The programme was held as a gesture of appreciation for the major role played by Hon’ble Justice Arun Palli in facilitating the timely completion of the modern District Court Complex at Kargil.
Speaking on the occasion, President of Bar Association Kargil, Advocate Reyaz Ahmad Khan, expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the legal fraternity and the people of Kargil. He acknowledged the personal efforts and support extended by Justice Palli towards the completion of the state-of-the-art court complex, stating that the facility would greatly strengthen the justice delivery system and enhance judicial services in the district.
Senior Advocate Haji Mohd Amir delivered the welcome address and highlighted the importance of the newly constructed court complex for the district judiciary, members of the Bar, and the general public. He noted that the modern infrastructure would contribute significantly to the efficient functioning of courts and the administration of justice.
The programme was attended by senior members of the District Judiciary, including Principal District and Sessions Judge Kargil, Sheikh Gowhar Hussain; Chief Judicial Magistrate Kargil, Tsewang Phuntsog; Sub Judge Kargil, Chimet Yurgyal; and Munsiff Drass, Sadiq Wazir, besides members of the Bar Association and judicial officers.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, with participants expressing appreciation for the visit of Justice Arun Palli and the continued support of the High Court towards strengthening judicial infrastructure and legal services in Kargil.
